Unable to start VirtualBox for LSA course

I have managed to download the LSA exercise VM, installed VirtualBox and managed to get my BIOS confgured to allow virtualisation. However, when starting the virtual machine I get the following error:

"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU."

I have the minimum spec as stated in Pega's VM User Guide. Please can someone confirm whether the spec listed is correct?

Update - I have found by trial and error that I needed to switch the virtual machine's operating system from "Ubuntu (32-bit)" to "Ubuntu (64-bit)".

Pega - please can you update your documentation or virtual machine image accordingly.

Hi Mike,

I'm facing the same issue. In my case, in virtual box "ubuntu-64 bit" option is not available in the system setting of the virtual box. Only "Ubuntu-32" bit available.

Please let me know on how to reslove this error.
