Unable to open uploaded excel file in sharepoint

Unable to open uploaded excel file  in share- point. Facing error file format may not be matching with file extension error.

From one of the discussions, Found this article gives solution on this issue SA-38694 Problem sending excel file using Sharepoint Online But getting page not found error
