Unable to map Class Group to External DB table

I have "HDFC-CreditCard-Work" which should be a Class Group. I am mapping this to an external DB (not from pega).

I got below issue while doing test connectivity to DB table and Class.

Class HDFC-CreditCard-Work may not be mapped to external data table kbondba.hdfcapplication in database HDFC, as it belongs to (or is the head of) a Class Group: HDFC-CreditCard-Work

Hello,

It is not supported. Accordingly to the Pega documentation, no inheritance or rule resolution applies to external classes, even if the class name contains a dash.
