Trying to connect to Confluent KAFKA Cloud from Pega cloud via NGINIX Proxy, is it possible?

We are trying to connect to Confluent KAFKA Cloud instance from Pega cloud via NGINIX proxy sitting on our AWS account.
The connection works fine on Port 443 (REST API), but the connection to bootstrap server itself is timing out on port 9092.
Have anyone tried this configuration earlier and was successful or faced similar issues? Any pointers will be helpful.
Pega version - 8.7.x

@NishPrasDid the issue get resolved? We are planning to connect Pega 8 to Kafka and want to know what are the challenges?

what are the tools being used? I might be helpful to list down the challenges.
