Is there any pega libraries available or any other means to extract the BLOB into a readable format (could be XML) without using pega application?
Is there any Pega libraries available or any other means to extract the BLOB into a readable format (could be XML) without using pega application. External teams have access to database so need to know how can they access BLOB content?

Hi,
I don't think, it is possible to read the contents of blob, other than using Pega.
To read the properties,
a)you can try exposing the properties
b)perform Obj-Open-By-Handle on to a page, to read the whole xml of that WO
The contents of the blob, are compressed and encoded. so unless we know the algorithm used for encoding, we can't decode it !

Reading the blob column outside of Pega is not possible. Blob is a pega specific format which is in compressed format. But curious to understand why such requirement would arise.

We have a separate Data Layer team across the organization which has access to all databases and uses data for further processing.
