Tab layout icon Addition
Hello All,
We have a tab layout with dynamic container to load multiple tab, need to add icon to the tab header. Used pyDocumentTitle and pyDocumentTooltip to display the tab name and tooltip. Unable to find the property associated with icon. Any inputs will be much appreciated.
@Mirunalene perhaps you can use the same properties. pyDocumentTitle be used to dynamically place the image into the page using a decision table to map from pyDocumentTitle to the actual image.

Thanks for your inputs. Actually need both the tab name and icon to be displayed in the tab layout. In that case the tab name have been set in pyDocumentTitle, so in which page/property should the image be set even if i am using a decision table to map an image for a particular documentTitle.
@Mirunalene I would normally create a new property within the same class - maybe Work- in my own rulesets - wherever makes most sense for your application, framework or enterprise rules.
- The new property is a text property, and has no need to be persisted, because its value will be derived at runtime.
- Name it myDocumentImage.
- Create a declare expression that sets the value of this property at runtime from the results of a Decision table.
- Create you decision table to evaluate pyDocumentTitle and for each valid value, return an image name.
- Upload all your images as binary files
- Within the Tag Group, add an image to the tab, and set the image to property: selecting myDocumentImage as the property.
Everything cascades - this is a small example of the rules resolution matrix.

@Thomas Thanks for the detailed explanation Thomas, however regarding the last point i need these images configured in the dynamic container of the tabbed layout. Currently i am not seeing an option to add an image to this dynamic container. Could you please provide your insight on this.
@Mirunalene after getting the dynamic container working using the OOTB configuration, use LiveView in the Developer Studio or in your portal to see the layers of UI sections, layouts and Harness modeled together to see from where the tabs are being rendered.
you will be able to click on the pieces and open them for Developer viewing or editing. Some will belong to different rulesets such as Pega-XXX User interfaces sections that are marked as available can be saved into your own rulesets to override OOTB behaviors. I suspect this may be the direction that you're headed with the exercise.
If that's true, as you dig deeper, you will need to share screenshots or perhaps get into a live session support. Did you open an SR with Pega support for this?
