SYSTEM ARCHITECT ESSENTIALS SETTING PROPERTY VALUES DECLARATIVELY
I am trying to create a declare expression for the property , but when I right click on the property i do not get an option to 'Define Expression'. Kindly suggest if there is another way of creating declare expression.

I have seen this under normal development effort. Sometimes the browsers (even Chrome) get confused with what's going on with the pages that Pega presents. This sometimes will occur heavy tracer usage or session timeouts (particularly with regards to SSO sessions). It's not the easiest to identify, recreate or pinpoint.
However, some things that I have tried.
1. logout, shut down browser and re-try
2. clear browser cache
3. try a different browser to see if specific behaviour is the same or different.

After adding Medical, Dental and Vision plan, do the following:
- Click on the Gear icon corresponding to the TotalBenefitCost.
- Check the 'This is a calculated field'.
- Click on Open.
Now you are able to see the Expressions page.

Another thing to note, as I ran into a very similar problem later in the course that I was unable to work around in this fashion is that these environments are said to work best in IE/Edge. I switched from Chrome to Edge for a particular exercise and was able to successfully access the right click menu described in the exercises... This was noted in a Known Issues document from a couple of years ago.

Hi! There is a menu, in the upper tool bar, in Pega Designer, where you have some create options.
