suspend an account

How to suspend an account if a user fails to provide successful login credentials. What configuration supports this requirement?

You can use lockout policies for suspending an account.

Go to Configure -> Org and Security -> Authentication -> Security Policies and find the Lockout policies.

When you mention the Enable authentication lockout penalty as Disabled and Failed login attempts before password lockout as 3, the account will be locked after the 3 unsuccessful login attempts.
