Substring to fetch first and last name from full name
Hi,
How can I use substring to fetch the first and last name from full name.
full name contains firstname middlename lastname (John Paul smith)
Note:In some cases middle name will not be present.
I want to fetch first and last name alone from full name.
Any suggestion please.

In the above link substring used by the position number. But here first last and middle names are separated by only spaces. I cannot give position value to get substring.

Hi @RSANGEETHA,
Instead of using substring function, You can make use of whatComesBeforeFirst() and whatComesAfterLast() function. In this way you can get first name and last name.

please find below syntax for those 2 functions:
@whatComesAfterLast(pgLinkProject.pxResults(1).pxLinkedRefFrom, '!')
@whatComesBeforeFirst(pgLinkProject.pxResults(1).pxLinkedRefFrom, '!')
1st param= string to look in
2nd param= token (In your case it will be space = ' ')
