SSO using JSON Web Token in Pega

For Single Sign on (SSO), we need to configure Some authentication Service. As per my requirement, I'm getting the JSON Web Token from iDP to my Pega redirect URL. So, can we use SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect to validate and process JSON Web Token?
Or do we have any other configuration for validating or processing JSON Web token as per SSO use?

We are using Pega 8.1.5.
