SR-A93265 (Support on identifying Dynamic ID in HTML specific SD framework)

We are trying to automate our Work flows. Our application is build on top of Smart Dispute Framework provided by pega Systems. In the framework, there are lot of HTML rules which refer the Pega scripting tag.
We are finding challenges to add test/tour id to those element which is causing a blockage to the automation work which we are trying to perform.
We have already opened an SR Request for the same - SR-A93265 (Support on identifying Dynamic ID in HTML specific SD framework)
For your reference : please refer to below HTML Rules
GoodsServicesOrderedDesc with applies to class as PegaCard-Sd-Dispute-Visa- in the ruleset PegaCardSdVisa:07-15-01
Eg: <pega:reference name=".GoodsServicesOrderedDesc" mode="input" format="TEXTAREA" />

I don't understand your question. The rule you referenced is available, so can't you add the test/tour id? What type of automation work are you trying to perform?

We are trying to use tour id and test id provided by Pega on the sections ruleform to automate the work flow testing. However i feel it is used in identifying the Object at run time and it is independent of the tool (for eg: Selinium).
Now the question I am asking is : if in my application i have hand coded section rule or an html rule which is using pega:reference tag : how can i provide the tour and test id.
if it would have been OOTM HTML tags like <input> i can give any attribute with input tag.
I hope this clarifies the question.

You could define unique XPath for HTML element allocation. Sometime, the XPath could be complex. For example, we use the following XPath to locate the first row record of provider list for CPMHC provider search page:
