Splunk integration with Pega7/8

Hi,

I am looking for some help on how to integrate Splunk from Pega7/8. I don't find any clear article in PDN explaining this integration. Pls help me in this regards.

What's the use case here trying to use the Splunk with Pega? Is it for indexing the log files and using the splunk for monitoring alerts?

If so, then direct integration is not required b/w pega & splunk.
