A space in Operator ID [7.1.9]
Hi
Based on Pega 7.1.9 Help, a space cannot be used in Operator ID, but Operator ID can be actually created with a space.
Has anybody seen any problems with a space in a Operator ID?

In 7.2.1 I am able to create an operator id with a space and also able to log in without any issues. And i cant see any such restriction is mentioned here in the help article.

In database, the column type of pxCreateOperator in dbo.pr_operators is defined as varchar(128) and hence any space characters may also be allowed in the operator. But the pzInsKey of operator record is formed as ' DATA-ADMIN-OPERATOR-ID operatorid ' eg: (DATA-ADMIN-OPERATOR-ID Proprietary information hidden)
If additional space is given while creation, the format of pzInsKey also gets changed, which may lead to some discrepancies. So the best practice may be is to avoid space , in the OperatorID. You can always use the short description field to have your custom name .

You can create operators with space. There will be no issues. Even operator id is not case-sensitive
