SOAP: How do I retrieve the entire contents of the SOAP XML message for the Fault and the Response?
Hi,
I have a generated SOAP service. Everything is working fine.
What I wanted is to be able to retrieve the entire contents of the SOAP XML message for the Fault and the Response?
From the help, it was mentioned that the Target Property: "...store the entire contents of the SOAP envelope that contains the fault/response message."
Interestingly, for the Faults tab, it was preset as ".pySOAPFault", and I would expect to be able to access this value in the generated SOAP Response DT. I have purposely generated a SOAP fault and able to see the pyErrorPage in the output of the generated DPage. However, I had tried different ways to access this property, but it is always blank, it is also not even in the tracer at all.
Can someone advise:
1) Where exactly can I access this ".pySOAPFault"?
2) Can the Target Property points to a property on a clipboard page? I had tried this, although I can save the rule, it also displayed a blank value.

Enabling the following logger can help :

com.pega.pegarules.services.soap.SOAPResponseHandler
com.pega.pegarules.services.soap.SOAPUtils
Otherwise try using functions like this : getXMLOfPageWithoutPageDataTag

Thanks for the suggestion. however, the "getXMLOfPageWithoutPageDataTag" does not give the exact soap envelope that I was expecting.
Anyway, since this was touted as a feature and it was mentioned that by using the Target Property, we can get the XML itself, I would expect such info to be readily available and relatively easy to retrieve its values, unfortunately, it does not seems to be.
So, I am wondering if someone could explain exactly how this could be retrieved.
