Section to PDF
Hy,
I would like to know if a Section can be converted to a PDF using an Activity (and NOT the "Create PDF" smarth shape).
I know how to convert a HTML rule into a PDF, but i couldn't figure out how it is working in case of a Section.
A small tutorial would be appreciated too (with the methods and parameters used in the Activity).

Try looking into the activity Work-.pxCreatePDF which is being used by the create pdf smart shape. HTML rule pzCreatePDFHarnessWrapper seems to be doing the thing for us.

yes. Trace the pxCreatePDF activity while you use the smart-shape, and then you can see what you need to set up to call that activity without the flow shape. /Eric

By the way, if you already have it working for an html rule, the main difference if you use a section rule is that you need to make sure you use an appropriate step page, which often will be the work page that contains the properties that your section is showing on the screen. /Eric

all you need is a 2 step activity:
Step1: do a "Property-Set-Stream" with stream class= 'Rule-HTML-Section', and stream name = <your section name>. And for "property name", pass param.MarkUp
Step2 : call ootb acctivity HTMLToPDF . Enable 'pass current param page'.
And that's all. You will see your PDF.
Also, depending on how you're going to call this activity, you might need to execute this with a 'refresh section'
