SearchWorkItems Gadget
Hello Pega Community,
I am facing a problem with the SearchWorkItems Gadget which is not working. It is working fine when I have the super user role but not when I have a specific other role. Any one had faced same issue or may know what could be the issue ?

This issue is likely due to missing access permissions for the role you're using. The SearchWorkItems gadget works for super users because they have full privileges, but the other role may not have the required access to the work classes. Please check if the role has proper Read, Open, and List access on the relevant work object classes under "Access of Role to Object." Also, verify if any specific privileges or ABAC rules are restricting access.

@PoojaPalla I checked the AROs but the issue that it is a global search bar; the search is on many all work classes. More details found: As source of the global search, we have the DP D_SearchExt sourced by the activity WorkSearchWrapper. When trying to trace I found two fails of access denied ( Do not have privilege ) in the step 5 and 7 of the native pega activity "setFormsAccess" in the class "Code-Pega-Requestor". Do I need just to add an ARO for agent access group with privilege 'UpdateLimitedForm' and 'OpenDeveloperForm' for Rule-Obj-Class @baseclass.if yes, is it risky? what impacts could we have to add those privileges to a specific "not super user" role?

@AmiraF34 The SearchWorkItems gadget works properly when logged in with a super user role, but it fails to show results or function correctly for users with a different role. This usually happens because the user role doesn’t have the required privileges or access roles to run the search or access the underlying data. You should check the Access Role to Object (ARO) and Access of Role to Object (Security Rules) settings for that specific role. Also, verify if rules like activities, report definitions, or data pages used by the gadget have the right Access When or privilege checks. Compare what access the super user has versus the restricted role, and make sure the required class-level permissions are granted. Once adjusted, the gadget should work for other roles too.
