Run Pega 7 without Changes to Compatiblity Settings
Our application is currently running in Pega 6 in production, we have around 4000 users that access the application. We are working on application upgrade from version 6 to version 7. As part of this change, once we move to production, we would be required to ask around 4000 users to change their compatibility settings.
My question here is, is there a way that we can make some change that would enable us to run Pega 7 without actually asking end users to make desktop level change.
Solution Tried:
We tried to have Enterprise level sitelist to make sure Pega URL opens in edge mode by adding application URL to the list. This did not work. We are looking for possible options that will help us.

If you are going to use Enterprise mode and a site list, then this will absolutely help you. But that means you should be disabling compatibility view as well. Having both turned on likely will conflict and I am not sure of the order or precedence in that case.

Thanks for your reply. We tried setting it at harness level, it spoils our look and feel, any application specific CSSs done at harness level are affected.
Can you confirm sitelist is not an option here, because an earlier client that I worked with used sitelist to achieve this for Pega 7.2.2. Please provide us with alternative options that can be tried out here.

Hi Chetan,
I believe you were replying to Shekhar, based on your harness comment. But let me try and help you out. First, I need to understand if you are still trying to get Enterprise mode to work while also having compatibility view set. As I mentioned, these are likely to conflict and the order of precedence is unknown to me. But by inference it sounds like compatibility view is taking precedence, hence your issue.
Can you just confirm exactly what your settings are, so that I can understand where the hurdles may be?
