Robot Manager Compatibility
We are currently in Robot manager 8.3 with pega platform 8.3 with robtoics runtime version of 19.1.25. There are plans to upgrade the pega platform to 8.6 and we want to understand if there is a need to upgrade the Robot manager as well to 8.6 or Robot manager 8.3 version is forward compatible with pega 8.6?
I referred the Robot manager market place documentation in the link https://community.pega.com/marketplace/components/pega-robot-manager and it doesnt state anything about forward compatibility. Please confirm if we can just upgrade pega platform to 8.6 and stick with Robot Manager 8.3 and Robotics studio and runtime version with 19.1.25.

Hi,
From Pega Robot Manager 8.2 the releases are aligned to Pega Platform. If you upgrade to Platform 8.6 you should upgrade to Robot Manager 8.6.1.

@Angel Hermira Does this mean if we do not upgrade Robot Manager, there will be compatibility issues?
If we upgrade RM 8.6.1, we need to upgrade to the studio and runtime version that supports it correct?

@NagaB333 , would you run Pega CDH 8.4 with Pega Platform 8.6? no, right?. It's the same for Pega Robot Manager you should use it with the right base Platform version. Otherwise some features might not work or you may encounter unexpected errors.
To get all the latest features from Pega Robot Manager 8.6 you should use the minimum Pega Robot Runtime version. You can use older versions and the basics will probably work but you won't get the new features delivered. My recommendation is to use it with the minimum recommended version which for 8.6 is 19.1.64.
