Restrict auto complete to accept manually given data

I have a requirement to validate the data given in the autocomplete field with the results it loads so as to not accept the junk data across my application.

Any help on this is appreciated.

You can use isinpagelist function to check if the selected item is there in your D_datapageName.pxResults. If it returns false you can some message within any validate rule.
