Response JSON validation for mandatory fields and enum

Hi, Greetings. I have a requirement to validate the Response received from REST connector for mandatory fields and enum. I tried setting up Validate rule directly on the Property rule form but that is not setting any message on the property which is failing validation. Any suggestions on how to do this?
