Resolving domain name to IP address

Hi,

We have noticed that while testing the connectivity from Pega to a SOAP/REST/Database interface using domain/host name it is throwing an exception. It seems that Pega is unable to resolve it to an IP address. If we use the IP instead of domain everything works fine. Is this is a known issue or related to the infrastructure?

Hi Yasser,

Are you entering the correct host name? Can you please provide snippets/document having configuration details? 

Also, which exception is getting thrown while testing the connectivity?

I guess, your Pega server has no connection to DNS server.

Ask your sys administrator to find out the issue (or you could easily try it by yourself by ssh into the server and try to connect to the same host you have the problem with. Say "curl http://<url>")
