Report with Slider which is not one of the Fields in Chart.
Hi ,
I have a report (a chart) where the Y axis is a Count and X Axis is the list different tasks. The report query is filtered based on task names .
I need a slider in the right hand side which gives a date range . If an user selects the date range then the report needs to be filtered based on it.
Right now , I am able to give a slider only for the property that I set in the X Axis. Is there a way I could provide it for a different property.

Hi Smitha,
If you want a slider for a field, it needs to be displayed on the chart.
It is not possible otherwise.

Instead of a slider , Can I have a text box or a date picker that can act as a custom filter.
I tried using a custom filter but it shows as read only field . Can you help me on this one.

Do you want a custom filter on the chart?
You mentioned you added a custom filter. Could you please provide me with screenshots of what you have done so that I get a better idea?

I am able to get the Custom Filter Editable.
I added a new Section and two text fields in the section.
But how do I map the fields of the Custom Filter to the Filter condition in the report ? For Example if I enter Vendor value as 1 , then my report needs to be refreshed with the new filter condition . How can I map the field in the Custom Filter to the Filter used in the Report Definition ?

Please make the presentation tab of properties in the custom filter section as below. Then you can achieve your functionality.
