Report definition, filter both for null/empty value and multiple values
Hi everyone,
customer has asked if in a report definition (available from report browser) is possible to specify a filter like this:
on the same column he want to filter by multiple values (like Cloud, Digital, ecc....) and also include row with that column empty.
the attached file show a multiselection filter, is there a way to filter also the row with empty value?

@AndreaG86 One possible way is if the property values are constant then define them as field values. Eg. pyStatusWork. Then probably the dropdown of multiple value selection can be implemented

Hi Aneesha,
thank you for the suggestion, infortunately the value on the filter are added manually from the user in the case.
so we can't use your suggestion.

Hi @AndreaG86, Once you select the values from the list of available values, they should appear in the textbox (adjacent to the "is equal" condition) as comma separated values, so can you try adding a , " " manually at the end of the textbox and see if that satisfies your request.
For eg, I select IoT and Mobile, the string would look like "IoT", "Mobile" in the textbox and after adding the null parameter it should look like "IoT", "Mobile", " ".

thank you for the suggestion, i've tried with both ," " and also ,"" at the end of the filter but in both cases i can't filter for empty rows. If i remove the filter, then i can see the empty rows.
as per your exaple i've tried: "IoT", "Mobile", " " "IoT", "Mobile", ""
both times without success.

HI @AndreaG86, Ideally it should have worked as I have checked it from my side, can you please check if there are other "AND" conditions in your complete filter list (Filtered by) which may be hindering the results?
