Repeating grid header tooltip shifting on horizontal scroll

A tooltip has been configured on grid column header through action and show smart tip as suggested in below post-

But on scrolling right, the tooltip shifts way too left making it appear as a tooltip for adjacent column. Is there any way to shift this proportionately so that tooltip is always on the desired column?
