To remove the case icon from the case tab

There is a list of case icons we can choose from case desiner>Settings>General>Case Icon>Change Icon. The case icon can be added and can be displayed in the case tab during run time. However, is there a way to remove it? I researched and found similar issue discussed but the icon did not get removed. Has anyone resolved the issue of removing the case icon once it is added?

Hi Dyan,

OOTB we do no have "None" option for Appearance icon 
 
Please try the below steps:
 
1. Override Rule-Obj-CaseType!pyOpenUIDefaults activity in your application ruleset
2. Add a "Property-Set" step to set ".pyIcon" to blank value
3. Save this activity
4. Now open all the case types rules(pyDefault) of the cases that you want to change the appearance icon for and just save them (Just opening the rule and save)
 
Delete the over-ridden activity after all case types are saved with blank appearance icon.
