Regression test for upgrading the Pega Platform + Robotics environment

Hi. One of our customers is considering upgrading Pega Platform 7.2.2 + Robotics 8.0.1037 environment to Platform 7.4 + Robotics 8.0.1096+, and is asking us on how we should plan its regression test.

What points should be considered to guide this customer? Has anyone experienced this?

Make a backup of your solution. Upgrade OpenSpan. Open the project and walk through the automated project upgrade. Open all adapters, containers, and automations to check for any error. Build and run the project to make sure no exceptions are thrown.

Let me confirm one thing:

> run the project to make sure no exceptions are thrown.

"Run" here means just run for a particular pattern, run for all the happy paths, or run for all the possible patterns including happy paths? Any guidelines?
