Question about Ver8.8
Hello. My client is currently using version 7.2.2 and is planning to upgrade to version 8.8. The PLATFORM SUPPORT GUIDE only lists up to 8.7, but is 8.8 the same as 8.7? And does that mean that versions not listed in the PLATFORM SUPPORT GUIDE are not supported? Regarding operating systems, only Red Hat Enterprise Linux v7 and v8 are listed, but we are currently using v6.8. Is it possible to use PegaVer8.8 with the current linux version?
Which approach would you recommend if we need to upgrade our operating systems? 1. Newly install PegaVer8.8 on a new server (with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v8) and migrate existing development resources 2. Upgrade for existing servers (Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.8->v8, Pega v7.2.2->v8.8)

Here is our current Platform Support Guide for 8.8
Red Hat version 6 is supported up trhough Pega 8.4, with 8.5 we started supporting version 7 and 8.
You can find this information on page 30 of the Support Guide.

@sulgik29 it is recommended to use cloud based deployment using kubernetes. As VMware based deployments are nearing to end of support and support will be available from there on for Kubernetes based deployments only.

Hi ,
Regarding OS upgrade,
if the OS is used for hosting App server and DB is in its own server with required OS version , then I would recommend
--> Perform Pega Upgrade.
--> Newly install PegaVer8.8 on a new server (with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v8) and connect to existing DB
If same OS version is used for both App and DB servers, then
-->Upgrade existing servers (Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.8->v8, Pega v7.2.2->v8.8)
