pyFTSIncrementalIndexer error
Hello team,
Do anyone tell us why am getting this exception and is hazelcast manages it.. please share your view.
[ STANDARD] [ ] [ ] (.service.PostExecutionListener) ERROR - Failing run [pyFTSIncrementalIndexer] that reached an unexpected status [Completed] with the following partitions
Partition{runId=pyFTSIncrementalIndexer, value=0, errorsCount=0, status=New, lastIds=329, node=, errorMessage=, errorStackTrace=, lastUpdateTime=<time>, recordsProcessed=0},
Partition{runId=pyFTSIncrementalIndexer, value=1, errorsCount=0, status=New, lastIds=325, node=, errorMessage=, errorStackTrace=, lastUpdateTime=<time>, recordsProcessed=0},

Hi,
The above error tells that OTB pyFTSIncrementalIndexer queue processor had issues running or reporting the status back. The partitions you see in the logs are not Hazelcast managed but they are Kafka partitions managed by stream services in Pega 8.x. You may see similar errors while shutting down servers, but if it is continuous it indicates a problem.
Check the status of pyFTSIncrementalIndexer QP from Admin Studio is running successfully with certain records processed. And verify if the Search landing page shows healthy green status for the enabled search indexes.
Pega 8.x requires at least one stream node (or a universal node).
Ensure you have added stream node in Decisioning-->Infrastracture-->Services-->Stream path and if the node is up and running.

Hello Harish,
pyFTSIncrementalIndexer is stopped in our env to stop search option... will you please let me know if it directly affect anything else, like cache ( bcz we observing application slowdown and eating up JVM heap).

Stopping pyFTSIncrementalIndexer only affects the incremental indexing of rules/data/work and search.
Apart from search functionality, this shouldn't have any impact on the cache or system's memory.
As a best practice if you would like to Stop the search option. Set the below DSS to false rather than stopping the QP.
Pega-SearchEngine • indexing/distributed/search_enabled = false (To disable search)
Pega-RULES • indexing/enabled = false (To disable Indexing)
Pega-SearchEngine • indexing/distributed/index_enabled = false (To disable indexing thru Elastic Search)
