Printing a popup window
Hi All,
I'm using 7.2.2 in my application and we have a requirement to print the popup window. In the existing functionality using 'Open URL in Window' I'm displaying a popup window and now the new requirement is to print this. I tried using window.print() in the action set after this 'Open URL in Window' but it was displaying print preview of parent window not the popup window and the popup window contains nothing in it. I also tried using 'PrintWork' in the activity which is getting called in 'Open URL in Window' but it doesn't do anything.
Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated.

Hi Satyakanth,
You can configure the pop up window harness to run the ootb harness print script.
In the advanced section of the harness which you use in the pop-up window, in the scripts and styles option, specify harness_print js file. That should do the trick.

Thanks for your response Fayaz!
I removed the 'Open URL in Window' and added 'Harness' in the action set. The harness which I have given here doesn't contain anything except the 'harness_print' js file under Scritps & Styles. It displays the popup window but doesn't display the print window. I have attached the screenshot for reference.
Am I missing anything here?

What are the contents of pop up window that you want to print.
Can you include that in the harness you are passing as pop up.
Since you mentioned that the harness is empty, it may be the reason print isnt loading.
Whatever you want to print, you can include it in a section and include that section in the harness.
Also in the advanced tab of the harness, make sure work area (inner) is checked.
I have tried a similar setup and my end and that works for me.

Hello Fayaz,
The activity generates the pdf and displays in the popup window. I just checked the box 'Workarea (inner harness)' and the print works, as the harness has got nothing in it, it displays blank print preview.
