PostGreSQL 13 Support

Hi,

We are upgrading our application from Pega 6.3 SP1 (current stack Websphere 8.5, Oracle 12C, RHEL 6, Java 6/7)

to Pega 8.6 (Wesbphere liberty, PostgreSQL 13, RHEL 8, Java 8/11)

Upgrade guide mentions about PostgreSQL 12 only. Could you let us know if Pega can provide support in case of any issue as we are going to use PostgreSQL 13?

PostgreSQL13 has not been tested with Pega Platform yet. As per the latest platform support guide, PostgreSQL 12 is supported for Pega 8.6. Please refer the support guide here.

We see support for PostgreSQl 12 holds good till Nov 2024.

@piyup Thanks for your response. So could you confirm Pega will not provide any kind of support if we go with PostgreSQL 13 db for Pega 8.6 version?

Hi @SandipP9

As PostgreSQL 13 has not been tested for Pega platform and we are unable to request for testing of a certain product's compatibility with Pega Platform, you may need to engage your vendor support in case of any issue.

You should submit a support request to check what level of guidance can Pega support provide on this.
