Performance issues with PRPC74 version.

Hi Team,

Could someone please let us know about the performance issues faced with the PRPC 74 version.

We have recently upgraded to PRPC731 but we are facing issues like Memory leakage @ IE ,slowness with developer activities like check-in,check-out,etc.,

I'm not aware of any specific performance issue related to Pega 7.4.
A full set of logs is required for an in-depth review of the problem.
Please create a Support Request and supply a detailed description of the issue.
Please add a full set of logs (Application Server logs, PegaRULES and PegaRULES-ALERT logs, GC logs, IE memory usage screenshots)

As I have mentioned in my original post "We have recently upgraded to PRPC731 but facing issues like Memory leakage @ IE ,slowness with developer activities like check-in,check-out,etc.,".We are planning to upgrade one of our other applications to PRPC74 version but taking a step back because of the issues faced with PRPC731.

Please let us know if any of your known clients upgraded to PRPC74 and facing similar performance issues ?

Hi Pradeep,

I'm not aware of any performance issue specifically related to Pega 7.4. 
I've noticed from the logs you shared in other posts that the system was showing poor performing SQL queries while building or updating the Rule Assembly Cache. 
When such issues occur it is recommended to ensure that:

  • Database Statistics are up to date for pr_sys_appcache_shortcut and pr_sys_appcache_entry tables.
    Reorganize such tables and Rebuild their indexes in case of fragmentation.
  • Ensure that the PurgeAssemblyDatabaseCache Agent (Pega-RulesEngine ruleset) is running.
