Performance impact on using other skin instead of default in portal rule
Would really appreciate if anyone would be able to give a precise answer to the question above. Is there an impact on performance if we use other skin in a portal instead of defaulting it to application skin? It is known that this is a maintenance issue, but does it affect performance. Thanks a lot

I dont think using your own skin rule will ever hamper performance .

In addition, it all depends on what css style formats and how efficiently it is designed.
As it depends on the css file size, during the initial load, it takes good amount of time.
From next run onwards, as it gets cached, it would be better.
