Pega Upgrade prerequisite is not clear as per helm chart documentation.
We are planning to upgrade our pega 8.2.6 to Infinity 23, when i am reading a helm chart documentation for Pega-Installer the prerequisite mentioned is not clear.
It says our Pega platform should be running on 8.4.2 version. Does that mean we cannot use this process to upgrade as mentioned in this article as our current pega version is 8.2.6 If not, what approach should we follow?
Attaching screenshot of the prerequisite as per above document.
Assumptions and prerequisites
The process to upgrade your deployment with zero-downtime assumes:

You are correct in observing that the Pega Platform version 8.4.2 is a prerequisite for the Pega Infinity 23 upgrade process. Since your current Pega version is 8.2.6, you would need to follow a different approach for the upgrade. To upgrade from Pega 8.2.6 to Pega Infinity 23, you would need to first upgrade to Pega Platform version 8.4.2 and then proceed with the upgrade to Pega Infinity 23. This would involve a two-step upgrade process. For detailed guidance on upgrading from Pega 8.2.6 to Pega Platform 8.4.2, you can refer to the Pega Platform upgrade documentation available on the Pega Documentation home page. Once you have successfully upgraded to Pega Platform 8.4.2, you can then follow the upgrade process to Pega Infinity 23. Here are some resources to help you with the upgrade process:
