Is Pega Upgrade good Approch or DB migration from ORACLE to SQL

Hi Team,

Currently we are using Pega 7.1.7 & 7.1.9 and Oracle 12C.

Oracle 12C version is going to expire in 2021 and the next version 18C also expires in 2021.

so planning to move the DB from ORACLE to SQL.

Please let us know the below two points.

1. Is Pega upgrade good approach or DB migration from ORACLE to SQL a good approach?

2.Estimation process to migrate from ORACLE to SQL.

Hi Sridevi,

Pega upgrade doesn't migrate from one database to another.It upgrades pega version.If you want to move to different database then you should consult with your DBA.They will help you more.
