Pega Upgrade ( Base pega 7.1.7 to 7.3, Pega marketing from 7.12 to 7.22) data migration approach
We have to do Pega Upgrade ( Base pega 7.1.7 to 7.3, Pega marketing from 7.12 to 7.22) for our client staring this week.
Regarding this for data migration in production I have following queries
1. Our client has customer base of 16 million and marketing is running since march 2017, so how much approx time it can take to migrate the marketing data?
2. In prod should the data migration be done in place i.e on the actual customer prod DB tables, or should we migrate on copy of actual data?
3. If the migration is going to take several days then downtime will be high, so may be doing it over a copy of actual data can be wise, but then we have to migrate the delta data that will created in prod during those days, so what needs to be done?
4. Is there any document which outlines which tables are updated or changed structurally (i.e columns are added/deleted etc)?

Additionally will like to inform that we request for install media both for fresh installation and update/upgrade, pega provided us installables for fresh installation only.
Will like to know if the media for fresh installation will have necessary scripts for update/upgrade, and will all cumulative hotfixes of PRPC (from 7.1.7 till 7.3) and Pega Marketing (from 7.12 till 7.22) will be included in the in this installables.
