Pega SRS CVE-2025-55163
Our security team has raised an issue and I want to see if there is a patched version or remediation for Pega SRS 1.37.6 CVE-2025-55163 Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to versions 4.1.124.Final and 4.2.4.Final, Netty is vulnerable to MadeYouReset DDoS. This is a logical vulnerability in the HTTP/2 protocol, that uses malformed HTTP/2 control frames in order to break the max concurrent streams limit - which results in resource exhaustion and distributed denial of service. This issue has been patched in versions 4.1.124.Final and 4.2.4.Final.

@DPCLARK12 First, upgrade Pega SRS to a release that bundles Netty 4.1.124.Final or later, since that version includes the MadeYouReset patch. If your current SRS stream does not yet ship with that Netty level, open a support ticket and request a hotfix or container refresh that updates the Netty dependency. If you control the build, bump the Netty version in your dependency management and rebuild the SRS image. As a temporary mitigation, turn off HTTP/2 on your load balancer or ingress, or restrict it to trusted clients only. If you must keep HTTP/2, tighten limits like max concurrent streams, enable rate limiting and connection caps, and ensure your proxy layer is updated to a version that addresses this HTTP/2 issue. Monitor for spikes in RST or GOAWAY frames, rising CPU, and abnormal connection churn to catch attacks early. Test the patched build in lower environments with HTTP/2 stress tools to confirm stability. Roll out the upgrade during a quiet window and keep a rollback plan ready.
