In Pega Constellation, must Views be created in relation to a case type?
I am in the process of building out a new Pega Constellation application. In my application I have no case types. However, my application does have a portal with landing pages. One of my landing pages is a two column display. I would have expected there to be a "Create View" option when adding views to a region of the landing page, but there is not. How should I go about creating a new view and adding it to my landing page without creating a case type?

Creating views is available in Infinity 23 onwards.

In Pega Constellation, you can create views for your landing pages without creating a case type. You can create a new view by navigating to the 'Views' tab in the case working area and clicking 'Create new View'. You can then select the type of view you want to create, either a Constellation-based list view or a form view. After naming your view and clicking 'Submit', you can define the fields in your view to collect information from users. Once the view is created, you can add it to your landing page. Please note that the parameter type 'Field' is not supported for list view landing pages.

Hello Thulasi! Thank you for responding to my question. I am happy to hear that I can create views without creating a case type. However, I have a couple follow-up questions. Where is the case working area located? Is it in App Studio? Or Dev Studio? Like I mentioned my application does not include any case types, so when I navigate to the Case tabs in both App and Dev Studio I do not see a "Views" tab.

@TessPorter -Yes its not there in 8.8.x versions. I have verified in Infinity 23 & 24 we are getting this option.Probably as part of the user story this been added in later versions. Please refer the screen shot.

Thank you for this clarifying information, I will look out for this in Infinity 23 & 24. Too bad it's not available in 8.8.X, but I'm happy to hear it's available in Infinity 23 & 24.

Can you follow the steps to create a view for the Landing pages?
Web Portal -> Landing Pages -> Add (attached screenshot for your reference)

Hi Ramesh! Yes I am able to follow those steps to create a new landing page, but I am unable to then create a new view to display within my landing page.
