Client has Pega 7.1.9 environment installed with Pega Customer Service 7.1.4. Current Pega CHAT version is 7.1.3. Client wants to use Pega CHAT 7.31 to remove MongodDB. Is it possible to upgrade only Pega Chat to 7.31 and connect with Pega 7.1.9 and Pega CS 7.1.4?
If not, do we need to upgrade the whole stack to 7.31 (Pega , Pega CS and Pega CHAT)?

We maintain 2 versions backward compatibility for Pega Chat. This means Pega Chat 7.31 is compatible with Pega CS 7.21 and 7.22 only. It will not work with Pega CS 7.1.4. We would suggest upgrading to Pega CS 7.31 to get the best result out of Pega Chat 7.31 as many changes have been made to Pega CS side of chat to make the whole experience more stable and predictable.
To upgrade Pega CS to 7.31, you need to meet the pre-reqs as mentioned in the Pega CS 7.31 documentation.
