Pega Cassandra where to set READ_QUORUM
Hi,
we are using Pega Marketing 7.22 and we have problems with Cassandra under high load as we get timeouts. As I know Cassandra has a so called Quorum for write and read, where can I set the read quorum in Pega Marketing?

By default, Pega platform uses consistency level ONE for both reads and writes. You can customise the consistency level by setting the following prconfigs:
- dnode/default_write_consistency
- dnode/default_read_consistency
Possible settings are described in C* documentation: https://docs.datastax.com/en/cassandra/3.0/cassandra/dml/dmlConfigConsistency.html
To set quorum for reads you need to set dnode/default_read_consistency to QUORUM.

many thanks for you reply. Very interesting. But for my understanding: Consistency Level ONE is still lowest consistency level, as only two nodes have to reply. Correct?

Consistency Level ONE is indeed the lowest consistency level in which it is enough for only ONE replica to respond (read) or acknowledge (write). The stronger you configure your consistency, the less performance out of Cassandra you will get.
