We are working an external user facing pega application. I want to check if we can use pega basic authentication to  Authenticate external user in Production. Any drawbacks of using basic authentication to Authenticate external user?

In our Org we use OKTA as Identity provider and not sure if we can use OKTA to validate non-SSO user.
