Pega AUT Test ID generation
Pega AUT feature which creates test ID for UI elements. We are trying to automate UI testing part.
In a section for each field we have a generated testID, when we click on properties panel of any field we have identifiers section in which test ID will be present.
In couple of scenarios testID field is not visible in identifiers section(based on visibility condition). for such fields these test IDs are not available in web element attributes of section(test-Data-id) for such fields facing issue getting test ids.
Can anyone explain the reason behind this visibility condition?-

Pega AUT or Pega Unit is not related to test id for elements in sections. Pega Unit is about automating/creating testcases for certain rules like Data Pages, Actitivites, Decision rules etc.,. Teams in UI backlog are better suited to answer this query.

We support data-test-ids only for limited controls, so you see the Generate TestID button in property panel only for the supported controls. You can expect the test-ids for most of the controls in 7.3 release.

Is data-test-id only for developer? I couldn't able to see in end user portal? Do we need to add any specific role ?
