Pega 8.3 Sql Jdbc driver error

Hello,

I've been trying to set up Pega platform 8.3 test environments for some internal testing for a client. While trying to deploy the application server I keep getting the error "

SEVERE [main] org.apache.tomcat.jdbc.pool.ConnectionPool.init Unable to create initial connections of pool.
java.sql.SQLException: Unable to load class: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver from ClassLoader:java.net.URLClassLoader@254989ff;ClassLoader:ParallelWebappClassLoader
context: ROOT"
I have checked to make sure the jdbc driver is copied into the /tomcat/lib folder and also made sure its the correct driver needed. I have attached the logs. Thank you.

Kevin,

 

Restarting now will let you know result. Question, besides being in the /tomcat/lib directory, does the jdbc jar file need to be copied into any other directory? Thanks.

Received the following errors in logs:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
java/lang/ClassNotFoundException: error in opening JAR file <Zip file open error> /opt/tomcat/apache-tomcat-9.0.24/endorsed/sqljdbc42-6.0.8112.jar

I got past the error I noted above but when I restarted tomcat, its been stuck at Server Startup. Logs have not changed and the web app has not come up. Any suggestion? Attached new log.
