Pega 7.3 Mashup - with Intranet and Internet facing applications

We are doing a POC to develop one UI in Case Management to be accessed as a mashup from Intranet application and Internet facing web application. Both have different SSO auth mechanisms.
With our Pega Case Management residing in Intranet, could you please suggest the best design alternatives for this scenario. For e.g I would like to maintain 2 web server clusters - one accessible from the Internet and one accessible with Intranet domain. These clusters will host the UI code and each one will integrate with the corresponding IdP.
To overcome CORS issues with the host application, I would like to configure a reverse proxy for the Pega URI pattern in the host application web servers so that the internet and intranet apps will proxy to the corresponding web servers.
Can you please suggest any article(s) that will help me. And can you please also advice if I am thinking in the right direction?

@DivyaG19, hope you are aware that mashup domain can be completely different from the host domain and communication across host and mashup domains happen through postMessage API - so you shouldn't be running into any CORS issue here.
May be we can get into a call to get more clarity on the requirements.
