Pega 7.2.2 - Report definition - Summary Report - Calculations
We have a report in work class which calculates the total cost of column A of all the work items and the total cost of another column B.
Now we need to find the ratio of sum(column A )/ sum(column B), in the same report.
Can we acheive this using Custom SQL function? Have any of you done this before?
Please note : I can't create a subreport to do this, as it is already having a subreport. A validation error of "Subreport cannot contain itself in a subreport" is thrown.

As I have already stated in my description that I can't use it as a subreport to calculate - I already have subreport to do other calculations.

Hi,
Try to can create FunctionAlias with two input parmaters in Embed-UserFunction Class and used used divide operator A/B which will display the value and refer in the ReportDefintion.

do you mean do the divide first and then do the sume?
If that is the case - we can use them directly right - why do we need embed user function?

Alternatievely you can also use a dedicated property for this and then create a declare expression to calculate value for the property.

Yeah, this is what we did when we implemented this functionality - I just wanted to know is there a way to acheive this in RD itself - instead of creating a property and declare expression rule.
