Pega 7 RDB connect

hi,

We have a query on RDB connect from Pega 7.
As we know that Pega 7 can run on Oracle 11gr2. In our environment Pega7 is running on 11g r2, now we want to connect from Pega using RDB connect to an external system's database which is running on Oracle 8.
Using Pega7 RDB connect can we connect to the external DB which is running on oracle8?
Will everything work properly? If not what changes we have to do?

As per the information from our product specialists it will work fine for the oracle8 as well as Oracle11 and Oracle 12 versions also. Hope this information would be helpful to you.

Hi Animesh,

You might be able to connect Oracle 8 with PRPC 7.1.9 however official support is given for Oracle 11g R2 and Oracle 12c only. Please refer support guide for reference : https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find
