Pega 6.3 product support
Hi, Very generic question. Do we have an idea when Pega intends to withdraw support from Pega 6.3. which year? I would imagine it will be not for next couple of years. What is the Pega support model thereafter, no support at all or customised tailor made support on client by client basis.

We at Pega encourage you to move to the Pega 7 platform, as much has been improved and added. However, we continue to support a number of older versions including PRPC 6.3sp1, and have no plans to discontinue such support. /Eric

Hi Eric does Pega still support 6.3sp1 since Microsoft has ended support for any IE version below 11. We want to move to Pega 7 but for now, would like to know what is supported and what is not and the features that are supported, till what date they are being supported.

Hi,
We highly suggest you update to the latest Pega 7 platform, which offers improved user experience over the older versions.
However, the Pega 6.3sp1 platform is still supported, but do make sure that you are using an IE version shown in the platform support guide matrix as being valid for Pega 6.3sp1. /Eric

Hi, I am confused now. Pega 6.3sp1 is best supported on IE 8 or IE 9 as per the platform support guide matrix but latest Microsoft statement is that they have withdrawn support from any lower version below IE11 (no security patch update or tech support).
Are we saying that Pega GCS will allow and look into any service requests for Pega 6.3 SP1/IE 8 or IE 9 issues.
We are on Pega 6.3 SP1 and IE8/IE 10 compatibility version. We want to know what is support model for any aforesaid issues till we upgrade to Pega 7.

Yes. There is no end of life policy for PRPC as of this writing. If you experience issues in this configuration we will look into them.

IE8 scenario is answered above. For IE10/11 issues running on our legacy PRPC platform, we will look into issues on a case by case basis. But there may be instances where there is nothing we can do if there is simply an incompatibility with a browser released well after a PRPC release.
