Passing JS Variable to JSP
Hello,
I'm writing a non-auto generated section that is full with javascript and jsp.
I need to pass js variable values to jsp. How to do it?
I tried to use the JS API provided by pega ("setValue") but notting is working.

Hi,
Thank you for your response, but that isn't what I need.
I was able to achieve my need only by writing to the clipboard. I wasn't able to pass a dynamic variable to the jsp.
So I made a work around using the clipboard properties. The solution was to make a hidden input tag in the HTML that have a post action on change of the clipboard property value:
<input type=hidden id="ID" name="$PnameOfPage$pNameofClipboardProperty" data-ctl="non-auto" data-change='[["postValue",[":event"]]]'/>
And using javascript "document.getElementById("ID").value= " the variable value from javascript.
It was the only way that worked.
