Parameterized property reference in a paragraph rule

I wanted to refer a property as shown below in Paragraph.

{D_XXX.pxResults(<CURRENT>).A } in a paragraph rule. A is a property name. I am using Pega 7.1.8 version. When I am trying to save the paragraph rule it is giving an error stating that lessthan (<) and Greaterthan (>) symbols are not allowed. Ignoring excess content in directive: "<CURRENT>

Please suggest any way to achieve this.
