Parameter values set in activity is empty when accessed from HTML rule.

Param.xyz is set to value "abc" in Timeout Activity then Param.pyChallenge is set to the name of the HTML rule. For testing purposes, this line was added to the HTML: <pega:reference name="Param.xyz" />. However, on session timeout when the HTML rule is displayed, param.xyz is blank.

I was not able to figure out why the parameter values are empty when accessed from the HTML rule. I wrote a Java work-around inside the HTML rule to basically re-populate the parameter page with the parameters that I need based on existing clipboard pages. e.g. the following code:

ClipboardPage cp = tools.findPage("exitingClipboardPage");
ClipboardPage rp = tools.findPage("pxRequestor");
 
if (null != cp) {
            tools.putParamValue("param1", cp.getString("param1"));
            tools.putParamValue("param2", cp.getString("param2"));
            tools.putParamValue("param3", reqPage.getString("pxUserIdentifier"));
         }
%>

Hi,

Can you check by running the activity alone and see if the param value is shown on html.

I tried running an activity to show html rule, <pega:reference name="Param.xyz" />. Param value is displayed properly.

You can also run tracer on session timeout and check if the param value is present at runtime or not.

Hi Sreepiya,

Thanks for responding. The activity does not call a Show-HTML. It sets param.pyChallenge. I don't know how Pega is displaying the screen given a value in pyChallenge. I tried running tracer but when my session times out, so does the tracer.
