Override From paramter in SendEmailNotification in 8.5.6
Hi ,
Can someone please let me know if there is anyway to update the From email ID in SendEmailNotification because I am using this activity to send the email to both CC and BCC Recipients along with To.
Basically this rule is using Java step that is opening the email account and setting the parameters with D_pxEmailAccount Data page that gets the email account details but I would like to override that email Account From email ID with the user email ID.

On analyzing the code in SendEmailNotification activity, it is trying to map the accountname which contains the name of the E-mail account to send e-mail.
Following are two approaches in which you can customize to send the E-mail from specific E-mail address:
1. If this activity is triggered directly as part of any other custom activity, then set the account name in Param.pyAccountName parameter. This value is passed as input to D_pxEmailaccount data page and that e-mail account instance address will be used to send e-mail.
2. Consider this is triggered as part of some generic activity like SendSimpleEmail or SendEmailWithallattachments, then as part of these activity execution processing happens like this:
First it will try to check whether is there any E-mail account present in the system specific to the applies to class or class group of the Work object. If it's present it will leverage that instance name and will take the sender info from that. If its absent then it will use the Default E-mail account instance that is shipped as part of Pega platform. You can configure your respective E-mail details in this Default instance so that the address that is mentioned in that will be used to send the E-mail.

I am trying using the approach 1 but even if I pass the parameters also email From ID is not being used i.e still email is being sent using the email ID in account. Parameter page is being ruled by the datapage in java step.

@Narender Lakshetty The address that you want you can update in the account or customize the java code to use from address that you are passing. Usually sending e-mails through E-mail account instance is better approach.

@KotaC382 We want to fetch the from address dynamically i.e the user who works on the case. Along with this we needed attachments should also need to send to To and CC users so there is no other activity that I can use. I tried to pass using other DP in send email activity but somehow not working.
